SCHOLARSHIP HOME & PARADE HISTORY
Since 2016, a BBIA builder member has led a Scholarship Home every year, usually featured as Entry #1 in the Parade of Homes. Sale proceeds fund scholarships for local students entering the construction field.

SCHOLARSHIP MILESTONES
- 1984A Scholarship Home is listed among association goals.
- 1988$6,000 presented to the Gulf Coast Community College Foundation, creating a perpetual scholarship for building-related studies.
- 1999HBA Perpetual Scholarship fund passes $22,000.
- 2004$13,500 awarded to nine local graduates attending Gulf Coast Community College.
- 2016Scholarship Home returns to the Parade for the first time since 2009.
- 2019No traditional Parade after Hurricane Michael; the Home for Christmas Home keeps the mission going.
- 2020More than $77,000 awarded to 97 students since 2015 (2020 Parade magazine).
- 2026More than $207,000 awarded to 225 students since the program began (2026 Parade magazine).
